The Fragrance Industry Comes to Halifax

In June of 2000, the fragrance industry came to Halifax to launch a publicity campaign to counteract the efforts of groups in Halifax to educate and increase awareness on health concerns related to scented products. The groups in Halifax would have welcomed an opportunity to have open dialog with the fragrance industry to express concerns. However, the industry refused to have such a dialog.

Information was presented at a press conference given by representatives of Nova Scotia Allergy and Environmental Health Association (NSAEHA) and The Environmental Illness Society of Canada (EISC). Albert Donnay of MCS Referral & Resources and Betty Bridges of the Fragranced Products Information Network also presented information.
